A-Tech Data Solutions Ltd, one of the U.K.’s leading Structured Cabling Companies, today announced that it has received ISO 9001 Registration from IMSM Ltd.Adopted in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization in Geneva, Switzerland, the ISO 9001 quality system was developed in order to establish an international standard of quality. For A-Tech Data Solutions to be registered, the company passed a rigorous assessment of its quality systems, from design of its products through shipment.
“We looked for a consultant with experience in the fiber optics industry. This is where Stefan Schenkelberg and his team from International Management Systems Marketing Limited (IMSM) came in. Stefan arranged for Bill Davies, the consultant for IMSM, to come in. Bill paid frequent visits to A-Tech Data Solutions, putting together the various policies and procedures which make up the ISO certification requirements. This major accomplishment reaffirms A-Tech Data Solutions commitment to meeting the highest standards of customer satisfaction,” states Brian Hargreaves, Managing Director of A-Tech Data Solutions. “By establishing uniform processes we ensure the quality of our products and services thus making it easy for our customers to do business with us.”
A-Tech Data Solutions began the registration process in October 2008. As part of the process, IMSM performed an on-site assessment, examination of documented procedures and a survey of the company’s overall operations. To determine continued compliance with ISO 9001, QAS will periodically conduct routine surveillance audits of A-Tech Data Solutions operations.
ISO 9001 standard covers design, development, production, final inspection and testing, post-sales support, and installation.
